RNSA Windsurfing Development Camp

Vassiliki, Greece - 25 Jun - 02 Jul 17 Windsurfing

The Royal Naval Sailing Association (Windsurfing) (RNSA(W)) will conduct an overseas development camp (OV) to Vassiliki, Greece between 25 Jun and 2 Jul 17.

The aims of the training camp are:

a. To develop the skills to represent the Naval Service at a variety of national, international and inter-Service competition events commencing at Weymouth Speed Week in Oct 17 at which the team will compete against the other three Services, and individuals will compete against an international cast of sports men and women, and;

b. to improve skills from ab-initio to more advanced sailing and competition training. On completion of the camp it is anticipated that all sailors should be capable of taking part in the annual HM Forces Open Windsurfing Championships. The variety of experience being considered is deliberate and means that those less experienced will draw from the knowledge and skills of the more proficient sailors attending who will equally gain from the coaching they deliver, and;

c. to develop the team spirit and cohesion in line with the aims of Service AT by conducting windsurfing development and training for Naval Service windsurfers of all standards.
