RNSA(P) Wednesday Summer Series Race 8

Portsmouth - 20 Jul 17 Offshore

The 20 knots plus of south westerly wind off Gilkicker point that greeted the fleet for the penultimate race of the Summer Series was in total contrast to the light airs of the previous two weeks,

The first beat to Mother Bank was led by Sunshine but Happy Apple who decided to take a hitch left rather than stick on the mainland shore was clearly well positioned at the windward mark. This was followed by a smooth kite hoist by her for the reach to Kemps Quay passing Tinker T in the process who were having a 'mare with their kite.
Sunshine took line honours but shared 2nd place with TT after the numbers were crunched. Happy Apple took first for the third week in succession, beware blokes carrying buckets team!
With the final race next week the podium is still to be determined.
