There are currently 21 spaces available in the RN Sports Lottery Accommodation in HMS TEMERAIRE (further spaces may be booked if required), with priority to those who live outside the Portsmouth area. Requests for bunks (including rank, name, service no, unit and gender) should be sent to Lt Matt Irwin ( You must be a member of the Sports Lottery to use this accommodation – sign up here if you are not a member already. Non-members of the Sports Lottery will have to find alternative service accommodation.

As an RN-only event, Duty Travel is not authorised. Individual units may pay for travel from their own Travel & Subsistence Budgets but approval should be sought first. Competitors should share transport where possible to reduce to overall cost to the crown. Teams are responsible for making their own way between accommodation and RNSC.

Two boat team racing (i.e. 4 people per team) will take place in Bosun dinghies iaw the official Notice of Race (NoR) that will be promulgated shortly via the RNSA Website. Sailing Instructions will similarly be made available online NLT one week before the event. The exact format will depend upon number of entries but the overall plan is for everyone to race both days: Saturday to rank teams and Sunday to race for the Cup and Plate. Races will be short square courses of around 10-15 mins each.

Broadly speaking teams should fall into one of the following categories and should contact the appropriate team captain to enter. Entry forms will be made available alongside the NoR in the next week. Each region/group may enter multiple teams. Volunteers for team Captains or personnel from North, URNU, BRNC or any other area should contact me to be put in touch with the appropriate people from your area.
