Benefits of RNSA Membership

Listed below are just some of the benefits of joining the RNSA, one of the world's largest and best known sailing associations. These include the use of RNSA owned yachts, access to reasonably priced moorings, and the privilege of wearing an undefaced Blue Ensign on your own boat.

  2. RNSA Journal – free hard copy annual containing articles, reports from the Rear Commodores, event dates, services to members and discount information. Regular Newsletters highlighting recent and forthcoming events; sent electronically and by hard copy if requested
  3. RYA Courses – preferential access to certain training courses for RNSA members
  4. Use of local clubs – many clubs offer free or easy access to facilities for RNSA members
  5. Social – Branch and Central social events including AGM and receptions, Annual Dinners and prize-givings, Cowes Week cocktail party and various cruises in company
  6. Discounts – Up to 40% discount available exclusively for RNSA members on items such as clothing, kit and insurance (via Branches and Centrally online)
  7. Rewards – Individual prizes and sailing colours provide additional recognition of achievement
  8. Use of RNSA owned boats – opportunity to campaign high quality, high performance boats on loan from the Royal Naval Sailing Manager/RNSA
  9. Moorings – Great value Permanent and Visitor Moorings available around the country
  10. Financial Assistance – to help with costs of travel, entry fees and accommodation when racing your own boat overseas, and occasionally for events in UK
  11. Supported Chartering – New scheme for cruising members encouraging sailing in unfamiliar waters by contributing to the chartering cost
  12. Interest Free Loans – available for buying a new boat or upgrading an existing boat with new equipment.
  13. Blue Ensign – one of a select number UK yacht clubs/associations entitled to issue warrants to entitle members to wear an un-defaced Blue Ensign
