Royal Navy Sailing Centre (Portsmouth) reopens!

RC (Dinghies) - 25 Jun 20 Dinghies

The RNSC has been closed since we went into lockdown on 23 Mar, but from Mon 29 Jun it reopens its slipways and to solo sailors (unless from the same household or social bubble).

Message by Lee Bichard copied from the RNSC Facebook Group:

Well after months locked down today has seen our instructor Ian Parker afloat for the first sail since we were shut down in March. I'm hopeful I and Pete will get afloat for sails tomorrow in preparation for the centres return to the water on Monday.
With that in mind I am please to announce that "THE RNSC WELCOMES ITS SAILORS BACK TO THE WATER" on Monday the 29th.
Please ensure you read the notes I have saved in the file section of this site, most importantly remember it is Pre booked Individual recreational Sailing Only.
Bookings commence Thursday the 25th and can only be made by calling 02392 547295. Their is limited spaces and we will be airing very much in the safe side with regards to weather with sessions being cancelled once wind speeds approach high F4.
Slowly slowly wins the race with Covid so it is going to be baby steps and I ask everyone to work with me and the team to make this a safe return to action.
SEE YOU ON THE WET STUFF.
